Study Abroad Peer Advisor

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Share personal study abroad experiences with the Stonehill community and assist in marketing study abroad programs.
• Participate in info sessions, office duties, and help during 2-3 evening events each semester.
• Engage with current students on social media, monitor Instagram feeds, and promote events through social media channels.
• Support the design and distribution of social media, printed, and promotional materials, including graphic design tasks if applicable.
• Liaise with on-campus student clubs, organizations, and resident assistants to promote study abroad programs and recruit returned students for outreach efforts.
• Inform the community about scholarship deadlines and funding opportunities, liaising with Stonehill's Financial Services.
• Assist with staff meetings, ensure office hours are covered, and support special projects as needed, demonstrating leadership and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Federal Work Study Award is required.
• Must have studied or been abroad for at least one semester.
• Ability to work 2-4 hours per week, including evenings and events.
• Strong interest in promoting study abroad programs and engaging with students.
• Ability to navigate Excel, data entry, and software systems is a plus.
• Experience or skills in social media, graphic design, budgeting, or leadership are desirable.

Nice to Have

• Background or talent in graphic design or media production.
• Experience with social media management and content creation.
• Leadership experience or previous campus leadership roles.
• Knowledge of budgeting, scholarship applications, or external funding opportunities.

Qualifications
