About the Role

The Corporate Communications team within Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA) at Citi seeks to enhance and protect the company's reputation through various communication channels. The team covers executive communications, internal communications, public engagements, and corporate reputation programs, serving a global workforce of more than 225,000 colleagues. The role involves serving as company spokespeople, driving engagement with colleagues, and developing digital communications for internal and external audiences. The SVP, Colleague Engagement Communications, will lead strategies to foster an inclusive and engaging workplace culture, partnering with senior leaders and HR to shape Citi's internal and external narrative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execute multi-channel communications supporting colleague engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Support communications for global inclusion networks and leaders.
  • Partner internally with HR and Engagement business leads to highlight stories and insights via social media and other channels.
  • Manage situations and crisis communications on issues with potential reputational impact.
  • Support executive communications for Citi's Head of Talent Management & Engagement and other leaders, including town halls, speaking engagements, and media opportunities.
  • Develop communication materials such as internal memos, news stories, media statements, social media posts, and work with stakeholders to develop and approve content.
  • Monitor internal feedback, media trends, social media dialogue; analyze insights and recommend actions.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to drive decisions and measure communication success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably within large, complex, and global organizations.
  • Subject matter expertise and passion for cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Proven success in proactive communications programs employing creativity and various media tools.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including tact and diplomacy.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Experience working with journalists and generating positive media coverage supporting business objectives.
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, and a positive professional attitude.
  • Ability to implement initiatives effectively and motivate others.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strategic mindset to align business strategy with communications.
  • Track record of delivering high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
