About the Role

The SVP of Marketing Enablement at Warner Music Group is responsible for empowering the marketing team with tools, processes, and resources to develop artists, foster fan relationships, and execute campaigns efficiently. The role involves collaborating with the WMG Technology team to develop and integrate innovative marketing tools and platforms, managing relationships with third-party service providers, and establishing operational workflows across global, regional, and local marketing structures. The position aims to drive marketing innovation, standardize workflows, and ensure WMG remains at the forefront of marketing excellence within a creative and dynamic music industry environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a new Marketing Enablement specialism across WMG, providing global, regional, and local marketing teams with access to data, platforms, third-party service providers, and workflows.
  • Oversee WMG's approach to marketing tooling, including conducting full audits and rationalizing the marketing tools portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities in marketing tools and partner with WMG Technology to design, develop, and implement required platforms and technologies.
  • Manage WMG's relationships with third-party marketing service providers, including conducting audits, identifying gaps, and delivering improvement roadmaps.
  • Negotiate and manage global vendor relationships to optimize service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with Tech to ensure centralized, accurate, and compliant storage of first and third-party data, prioritizing data migration based on business needs.
  • Formalize and optimize global marketing workflows to enhance team performance, tools, and data usage.
  • Establish and improve workflows across global, regional, and local structures for alignment and efficiency.
  • Integrate new solutions into workflows to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner with Product Operations to run training initiatives for marketing technologies.
  • Identify and address workflow inefficiencies to improve process speed and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Intelligence and Data Teams to develop programs for marketing attribution analysis.
  • Create frameworks for cross-functional collaboration to streamline campaign execution.
  • Lead the marketing technology R&D roadmap, evaluating emerging tools and trends, piloting solutions, and scaling innovations.
  • Partner with WMG Technology to assess new technologies and platforms for their strategic impact.
  • Support local and regional teams in innovating across platforms, data, and service providers while maintaining alignment and workflow standardization.
  • Define working processes and responsibilities between Marketing Intelligence, key stakeholders, and data generalists.
  • Support the Technology organization in focusing their efforts to deliver optimal services to marketing teams.
  • Ensure Marketing Intelligence has access to the right data and platforms to provide high-quality service.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing technology, with a strong background in marketing operations or enablement.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing marketing tools within a multinational company.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with stakeholder influence at all levels.
  • Experience working within creative or entertainment industries.
