About the Role

The SVP of Risk Data & Analytics will support the technology, platforms, data, and analytics of RJF Risk Management across all financial and non-financial risk areas. This role involves leading the development of risk data solutions, analytics, and risk technology infrastructure to enhance risk measurement, monitoring, and reporting, while collaborating with regulators, stakeholders, and internal teams to drive enterprise-level risk platform solutions with significant business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish RJF Risk's systems and data solutions to align with changing regulatory and business environments to minimize risk exposure.
  • Develop and maintain advanced risk analytics solutions for market, credit, collateral, and liquidity risk management.
  • Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of real-time risk visualization tools and reports, including ad hoc reporting.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of vendor tooling across Risk functions in partnership with RJF Technology.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements and design high-quality data solutions with detailed documentation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Raymond James Financial's technology stack, including data sources, systems architecture, and vendor tools.
  • Implement a comprehensive risk data strategy ensuring high-quality, consistent, and well-governed data.
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory risk reporting and interface with regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage staff, creating development plans and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulatory guidance including Federal Reserve, OCC, FINRA, SEC, and others.
  • Experience in implementing new technologies and systems to enhance risk management capabilities, including tools like Python, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and others.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, products, and investment processes.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional collaboration to align risk management with business goals.
  • Ability to provide technical requirements to development teams and manage risk technology transformation initiatives.
  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering effective presentations and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Educational background with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related fields; MBA or master's preferred.
  • 12+ years supporting technical teams in risk management, enterprise technology, or analytics within financial services or related industries.
  • Managerial experience of 10-15 years.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with agile project and program management concepts and principles.
  • Experience working with regulatory reporting and compliance teams.
  • Familiarity with risk-related regulatory requirements and data analytics application in risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of risk-related regulatory requirements (e.g., OCC, FRB, FDIC, SEC, FINRA).
  • Experience supporting risk management, enterprise technology, and analytics in financial services, banking, asset management, FinTech, or consulting.
