Team Relief Sales Rep

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Calling on off/on premise retailers and responsible for sales and distribution objectives, inventory management, product quality, and merchandising.
• Contacting new and existing customers to discuss their needs and explain how products can meet them.
• Answering customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and uses.
• Maintaining customer records using automated systems.
• Identifying correct products and assisting customers in making product selections based on their needs.
• Collaborating with colleagues to exchange selling strategies and marketing information.
• Preparing sales presentations and proposals that explain product features and benefits.
• Informing customers of delivery schedules, service, and other product-related information.
• Attending sales and trade meetings and reading related publications to stay informed about market conditions and industry trends.
• Visiting establishments to evaluate needs and promote products.
• Checking inventory levels, rotation, and monitoring product quality according to standards.
• Planning and building product displays in retail stores and advising retailers on displays, promotional programs, and advertising.
• Completing expense reports, sales reports, and other paperwork.
• Initiating sales campaigns and following marketing plan guidelines to meet sales expectations.
• Completing product and development training as required.
• Studying information about new products to ensure market knowledge and make product recommendations.
• Visiting retailers and conducting business reviews.
• Reviewing orders for accuracy and submitting them for processing.
• Understanding all competitive pricing and products.
• Maintaining positive customer relations and ensuring proper shelf space allocation.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must possess a Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) license and a valid Driver's License.
• Must pass physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Motor vehicle report must meet insurance company guidelines.
• Experience of one to two years related to sales or similar roles.
• Preferred education includes an Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school).

Nice to Have

• Experience in outside sales or retail account management.
• Knowledge of the beverage distribution industry.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (preferred).
• One to two years related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• MLCC license and valid Driver's License.
