The SoC Interconnect and System IP team covers the entire gamut of SoC infrastructure - Fabric, Direct Memory Access Controllers (DMAC) and Peripherals (SPI, I2C, I3C I2S, UART, Timer, RTC) covering key elements impacting the operation and performance of an SoC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engaging with customers to capture their requirements in RFQs and translating them into comprehensive Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs).
  • Collaborating closely with product manager to identify and define new products to drive sustainable growth within the product line.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering and product manager to define and prioritize the business roadmap.
  • Creating compelling customer presentation materials to effectively communicate Synopsys' technical value.
  • Curating material describing customer use-cases to influence IP roadmap and create differentiation.
  • Conducting comparative studies of the product line against competitors and customer requirements.
  • Analyzing wins and losses technically to enhance future product offerings.
  • Facilitating field communication and training sessions.
  • Leading technical discussions in Standards bodies (e.g. MIPI) and Partnerships with other IP vendors.
  • Promoting product lines through articles, white papers, application notes, seminars, and industry events.
  • Producing thought leadership outbound collateral.
  • Working closely with sales, engineering, and application engineering teams to communicate technical benefits and understand customer needs.

Requirements

  • BS EE with 10+ years of relevant experience, or MS EE (preferred) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the ASIC and SoC business.
  • Strong understanding of System-on-Chip architecture.
  • Previous experience with ARM and RISC-V ecosystem, including CPUs, interfaces, and fabrics.
  • Expertise in architecture, applications engineering, or technical product management, preferably at a system level, in ASIC or SoC design.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Excellent oral, public speaking, and written communication skills.
  • A keen listener and learner.
  • A team player who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in technical product management or marketing in semiconductor or IP industry.
  • Familiarity with standards bodies such as MIPI.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Electrical Engineering (BS or MS).
