Technical Project Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of technical projects, focusing on data warehouse management, Python development, and web application initiatives.
• Manage and coordinate the efforts of a geographically dispersed global team, fostering effective communication and collaboration to ensure project success.
• Implement and manage agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, Kanban) to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within scope.
• Collaborate closely with customers to gather detailed requirements and translate them into clear, actionable JIRA stories.
• Maintain thorough project documentation, including design specifications, user guides, process flows, and other essential artifacts.
• Uphold quality standards by overseeing rigorous testing and validation processes for all deliverables.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth progression and minimize disruptions.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring expenses align with allocations and promoting cost-effective solutions.
• Provide regular and transparent updates to stakeholders on project status, deliverables, scope changes, and timelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Technical Project Manager.
• Demonstrated success in managing data warehouse projects and Python development initiatives.
• Extensive experience managing multiple web application projects with distributed global teams.
• In-depth, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, BigTable, Storage, and Dataflow.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM and Kanban.
• Exceptional ability to interact with customers, elicit requirements, and translate them into detailed JIRA stories.
• Strong documentation skills, capable of creating and maintaining comprehensive and clear project documents.
• Expertise in data warehouse technologies and architectural principles.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Python development.
• Knowledge of web application development lifecycle and management.
• This position requires onsite presence in Santa Clara, CA, 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday), with Friday flexible for onsite or remote work.

Nice to Have

• Experience with other programming languages and development tools like Java.
• Experience working with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, etc.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager with at least 5 years in the role.

• Salary range of $162,600 to $302,000, based on experience and qualifications.
