Temporary Business Development Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the successful planning and execution of SEG, non-SEG, and hospitality events
• Collaborate with BD team to develop and execute effective events
• Assist in creation and execution of tasks related to business development activities/projects
• Coordinate suite and hospitality/logistics and provide timely event information to guests
• Communicate with partners, attendees, and executives in a professional and timely manner
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners and key stakeholders
• Coordinate event materials including collateral, swag, and tabling supplies
• Order and maintain supply of promotional materials for events
• Maintain corporate calendar of events and up-to-date BD Outlook Calendar
• Enter event data into Engage
• Assist with athletics ticket distribution to board, executives, BD/BD Partners, and employees
• Coordinate with marketing team on marketing, collateral, or ad delivery for community/SEG events
• Perform other duties as assigned, required
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
• Complete required regulatory training as assigned
• Maintain compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and internal controls relevant to the role

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum three (3) years business development, sales, or related experience
• Minimum one (1) year event planning and execution experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Highly motivated and results-oriented
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite-Word/PowerPoint/Excel
• Strong knowledge of project and event planning
• Strong knowledge of systems and applications, including Google Forms, Wrike, Connect, and Engage
• Excellent project and event planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills
• Ability to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility
• Ability to demonstrate results orientation to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
• Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and limited weekends

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• 1-3 years event planning and execution experience
• 3-5 years business development, sales or related role
• Experience in credit union or financial services business development, sales, or related role
• Connect content editor experience
• Knowledge of UFCU products and services
