Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Tandem Diabetes products and services within the assigned territory in partnership with a Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist.
  • Lead strategic business planning, including forecasting and developing short-term and long-term goals for the territory.
  • Identify potential customers and develop business relationships to facilitate sales.
  • Provide account sales support and continuing education to patients, physicians, and their Clinical Educators on insulin pump therapy.
  • Ensure the territory meets or exceeds sales goals as established by management.
  • Use available tools and resources creatively to identify sales leads and determine prospecting satisfaction.
  • Communicate professionally with healthcare professionals to recommend or prescribe Tandem products/services.
  • Differentiate Tandem Diabetes Care products and services to create value for healthcare professionals.
  • Educate prospects and customers on industry trends, healthcare solutions, and product outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers to support sales.
  • Attend corporate sales training, meetings, conventions, and symposia.
  • Maintain updated records in CRM for all business dealings within the territory.
  • Collaborate with Customer Sales Support Specialists to address pre- and post-sales issues and inquiries.
  • Maintain company property, equipment, records, samples, and sales aids in accordance with policies.
  • Establish a call cycle to maximize customer engagement and minimize administrative time.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports as required.
  • Manage expenses within corporate guidelines and submit expense reports timely.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • BS/BA from a four-year college or university plus 3 years of related industry sales experience, preferably in diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, or managed care.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to travel at least 80% within the assigned territory.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license, required auto insurance, and a good driving record.
  • Motivation and drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Effective communication skills with patients, referral sources, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to resolve issues and answer questions according to company protocols.
  • Ability to persuade and consolidate relevant information effectively.
  • Team cooperation and commitment to team success.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing market and view change as an opportunity for improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, or managed care industries.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and population health management.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 3 years of related industry sales experience or equivalent education and experience.

  • Competitive base pay ranging from $98,100 to $119,900 annually, with a target earning potential of $173,100 to $194,900 annually.
