About the Role

As a member of the NGC Integration and Test team, the Test Engineer candidate will be part of a dynamic team of test automation developers and IT professionals. The team performs manual tests and develops test automation solutions to ensure the Customer's Simulated Training Environment (STE) System of Systems (SoS) and capabilities meet requirements. The role involves developing innovative testing solutions for multiple software architectures and systems, with opportunities to evaluate automation tools, develop automated test suites, and streamline business and test processes. The position emphasizes quality assurance, test concept understanding, and collaboration within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual tests of new capabilities and systems to validate functionality.
Develop and modify automated regression tests to ensure product quality.
Evaluate and implement automation tools and develop automated test suites.
Provide solutions to streamline business and testing processes.
Work with team members on multiple projects, delivering results on schedule.
Troubleshoot issues and ensure testing aligns with functional and non-functional requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline.
Experience with test automation concepts and development.
Proficiency with UI functional test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver (Java), Cucumber, Serenity.
Experience with microservice/API testing tools like Postman/Newman, SoapUI, Swagger.
Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.
Knowledge of DSO / CICD, GitLab / GitHub, Jenkins.
Experience with project management and collaboration tools like Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, Zephyr.
Understanding of SAFe / Agile methodology.
Basic systems administration skills on Windows and Linux platforms.

Nice to Have

Previous experience as a Test Engineer or similar role.
Familiarity with various testing techniques.
Hands-on experience with Quality/Test Management Systems.
Excellent communication and writing skills, including experience in writing Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Reports, and PowerPoint presentations.
Experience gathering and reporting quality metrics to management.
Experience implementing test processes, strategies, and standards.
Strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications
