Vice President Clinical and Scientific Marketing

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of scientific and medical employees to inform clinical development plans and disseminate clinical content to external customers.
• Develop clinical dossiers, technical assessments, and medical presentations for key stakeholders and opinion leaders.
• Establish team goals and objectives aligned with the organization's strategic imperatives and manage team hiring and development.
• Develop a data-driven approach to improve key product and customer metrics and ensure achievement of goals.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and key opinion leaders to support product enhancements, new product launches, and customer engagement.
• Own and facilitate the strategy for advisory boards and scientific KOL engagement.
• Align clinical claims and product attributes with the product marketing team for messaging and go-to-market strategies.
• Lead the evaluation of competitors and provide insights into commercialization tactics and clinical study planning.
• Develop and generate scientific content for marketing and persuasion targeting a highly technical audience.
• Build and maintain an effective speaker bureau and disseminate insights to inform product development.
• Translate complex scientific subject matter into accessible content while highlighting key features.
• Coordinate clinical development plans for studies, catalog key data points, and communicate progress across medical, clinical, R&D, and bioinformatics teams.
• Continuously broaden knowledge of company science, culture, industry, and trends.

Requirements

• Ph.D or Pharm D.
• 10+ years of experience in oncology and biopharma marketing or medical roles.
• Proven success in delivering strategic plans with a consultative approach to medical or clinical development.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to establish processes and drive execution amidst multiple priorities.
• Ability to work across various organizational levels and functions including commercial, R&D, medical affairs, legal, and regulatory.
• Excellent strategic planning, organization, and deadline management skills.
• Strong executive presence, presentation, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in computer skills, especially MS PowerPoint.

• Effective communicator comfortable presenting to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively.
• Advanced degree (MBA/PhD) with molecular science or precision medicine experience.
• Previous marketing leadership experience.
• Location preference for Irving or Phoenix offices.
