The company is dedicated to transforming lives through learning and leading in AI Upskilling and reskilling, delivering impactful and personalized experiences for millions of learners worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global D2C partnership strategy - identify, negotiate, and launch new revenue-driving alliances (e.g., platform integrations, OEM, content co-creation, bundling) to drive profitable and sustainable growth.
  • Own the end-to-end deal lifecycle - from market mapping and outreach to commercial terms, contract execution, and post-launch optimization working across and with product and marketing teams.
  • Drive user growth and LTV through partner channels that boost acquisition, engagement, and conversion across web and mobile.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Content, Legal, and Data teams to ensure partnership success is baked into roadmap planning.
  • Spot trends early and position Udemy at the center of emerging learning consumption behaviors (think creator economy, mobile-first markets, AI-driven personalization).
  • Represent Udemy externally as a thought leader in consumer learning innovation and partnerships.
  • Mentor team members, foster a culture of innovation and accountability, and report on key growth metrics to leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or platform growth—preferably in consumer tech, streaming, mobile, edtech, or online learning.
  • A track record of closing complex, high-impact deals with global consumer brands, platforms, or telcos.
  • Strategic thinker with strong financial modeling and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous terrain and moving fast without perfect information.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, platform dynamics, and monetization.
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional influencing, and executive presence—ability to develop a strategy, sell a vision, and ensure teams execute against the plan with timely updates.
  • Passion for education, innovation, and Udemy's mission.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in consumer tech, streaming, mobile, edtech, or online learning sectors.
