About the Role

The Vice President, Financial Content Writer and Thought Leadership Manager will be part of Brookfield's Public Securities Group global marketing team, responsible for producing institutional-quality content to drive fundraising, investor engagement, brand, and communications initiatives. The role involves developing thought leadership across all public securities strategies, collaborating with various internal teams, and supporting firm-wide communication efforts. The candidate should be a strategic thinker with a strong financial mindset, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The position reports to the Director, Head of Marketing and Communications, and is based in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm, write, and produce thought leadership content across all public securities strategies.
  • Manage the content calendar and strategic marketing campaigns in coordination with product managers, marketing, and institutional sales.
  • Work closely with the Client Relationship Management and Investor Relations teams, as well as investment, finance, operations, legal professionals, and senior management.
  • Develop and manage high-quality insights such as white papers, articles, market commentaries, videos, podcasts, email, and website copy.
  • Lead the editorial process, ensuring content aligns with firm goals and supports sales priorities.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to evolve PSG's marketing toolkit.
  • Coordinate and edit large-scale content projects like the annual Stewardship Report, quarterly newsletter, and other firm-wide communications.
  • Collaborate with marketing, investor relations, institutional sales, and investment teams to promote thought leadership and enhance brand awareness.
  • Execute marketing campaigns leveraging digital tools such as Pardot, Hootsuite, Salesforce, Monday.com, and Seismic.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with compliance.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality content delivery.
  • Generate content ideas and conduct research on industry-related topics.
  • Repurpose materials for various institutional audience segments.
  • Perform other marketing and communications projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in journalism, communications, marketing/business, or finance.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, with a strong interest in financial services marketing and experience with asset management and the institutional channel preferred.
  • Strong understanding of public securities, especially within real estate, infrastructure, renewables, and fixed income.
  • Outstanding writing, proofing, formatting, and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • A portfolio of published articles or written work is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at various levels.
  • Analytic and strategic thinking skills to assess complex topics and produce clear insights.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment with multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Team player with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work in an unstructured environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with digital marketing tools such as Pardot, Hootsuite, Salesforce, Monday.com, and Seismic.
  • Experience in financial services marketing, particularly within asset management and institutional channels.
  • Knowledge of public securities within real estate, infrastructure, renewables, and fixed income.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in journalism, communications, marketing/business, or finance.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $125K - $150K, comprising base salary and short-term incentive (cash bonus).
  • Compensation varies based on geography, experience, education, and industry experience.
