The role of Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer I is part of the Wealth Services Engineering team, located in Jersey City, NJ, and involves developing and supporting complex application systems to power the future of finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides application software development services or technical support in more complex situations.
  • Leads the technical design, development, and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
  • Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems.
  • Develops well-designed, testable, efficient code and analyzes, designs, and develops tests and test-automation suites.
  • Maintains software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain) and actively participates in code reviews.
  • Integrates software components into a fully functional software system and applies security and privacy principles.
  • Troubleshoots, debugs, and upgrades existing systems and ensures software is updated with the latest features.
  • Collaborates closely with team members to take shared responsibility for team efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of front-end and back-end development coding languages such as C#, Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript.
  • Experience with application frameworks and containerization.
  • Teamwork and organization skills.
  • Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
  • Prior experience in selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and consulting with structured methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in using specific application development toolkits.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
