About the Role

The Vice President of Sales for Costco is a senior executive role responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve financial objectives across multiple regions, including the US, Canada, Mexico, and international markets. The position involves building strong relationships with retailers, collaborating with product development and planning teams, and leading a sales organization to drive growth in the home fashion, textiles, and decor categories. The role emphasizes leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of retail dynamics and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve account and company financial objectives.
  • Identify categories, products, and brands that capitalize on white space opportunities to increase retailer penetration.
  • Understand the nuances of merchandise mix.
  • Establish and monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze POS data and market and competitor trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across US, Canada, Mexico, and International Regions.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Design, and Sourcing to build product solutions that fulfill consumer/retailer white space needs.
  • Partner with Planning to develop accurate short and long-term forecasts.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor direct reports to drive performance and exceed sales targets.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in sales and business development.
  • Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the sales organization.

  • Strong working knowledge of the company's products, competitive products, and the market, especially in Kitchen, Bath, and Home Décor including Pillows and Throws.

Qualifications

  • Experience in senior sales leadership roles, preferably within home fashion, textiles, or decor categories.
  • Experience managing sales across multiple regions and international markets.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies.
