Vice President, Trade Marketing

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Chief Growth Officer to align trade marketing strategies with overall commercial growth objectives and establish KPIs to meet growth targets.
• Deliver an annual strategic plan for distributor funds in coordination with Sales and Marketing Leadership to optimize revenue-driving investments and report on KPIs monthly.
• Collaborate with SVPs of Marketing to ensure seamless execution of brand-building initiatives at trade and retail levels with measurable metrics.
• Develop and implement the new product development timeline and execution across wholesale channels in coordination with Brand Marketing.
• Create overall strategy for in-market trade activation across key partnerships and sponsorships.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive trade marketing strategy to enhance brand presence and accelerate sales across all channels (on-premise, off-premise, DTC).
• Lead the creation of customer- and channel-specific marketing programs tailored to retail chains, independent accounts, and distributor networks.
• Serve as a strategic partner to Sales Leadership to ensure trade marketing initiatives align with key account and distributor strategies.
• Strengthen relationships with distributors and retail partners through effective promotional programs, visibility campaigns, and pricing strategies.
• Oversee the development and execution of marketing assets including POS materials, sales enablement tools, and customer engagement programs.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Trade Marketing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10-15 years of marketing experience in the wine industry.
• Minimum 10 years of marketing management and strategic planning experience.
• Experience with luxury brand products preferred.
• Strong leadership and consensus-building skills.
• Strong knowledge of the wine industry and three-tier system.
• Proven track record in developing and administering marketing programs.
• Proven analytical ability.
• Must be a self-starter and highly organized.
• Polished presentation, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
• Ability to travel 20% of the time as needed.
• Valid Driver's License and insurable MVR.
