VP, Commerce Media

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the owner and single point of contact to the client's central Digital Commerce team for all cross-retailer Commerce Media requests, updates, presentations, recaps/reports, education, and thought leadership.
• Provide thought leadership, impacting and contributing to the client's way of doing business on an ongoing basis.
• Act as a change agent and impact player, contributing to both client and The Mars Agency's performance.
• Work with the agency's retailer-specific Commerce Media and broader media buying teams to support strategy, planning, JBP negotiations, and identify trends and key learnings across retailers.
• Drive consistency and standards across deliverables and support the expansion of business through emerging opportunities and securing incremental revenue or new clients.
• Manage client budgets to ensure profitability and contribute to department bonus attainment.
• Demonstrate financial acumen with business documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and sales reports.
• Develop annual business plans and set strategic short- and long-term growth objectives for the assigned business.

Requirements

• Commerce Media strategy experience within an agency, Retail Media Network, or CPG brand/manufacturer; 12+ years preferred but not required.
• Deep understanding of CPG and retailer relationships, including Joint Business Planning, Top to Tops, and Channel and Category Strategies.
• Existing experience and relationships with key Retail Media Networks and third-party Commerce Media partners.
• Collaborative approach to teamwork and problem solving.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage and influence senior audiences and present complex data clearly.
• Strategic thinking in Shopper Marketing programs and day-to-day business management.
• Sound decision-making ability rooted in industry, client, and agency knowledge.
• Adept at analyzing results, synthesizing data, and developing actionable insights.

• Experience building best-in-class media strategies and plans for CPG brands across Retail Media Networks.
• Ability to think outside of the box while developing scalable processes.
• Existing relationships with key Retail Media Networks and third-party partners.
