About the Role

This role will be responsible for leading sales engagements of NielsenIQ's Marketing Effectiveness solutions (Including Marketing Mix and Matched Market Tests) in the North America region. The Marketing Effectiveness team is a new NielsenIQ focus area witnessing incredible growth that holds strategic importance to NielsenIQ's ability to provide useful insight to clients about the impact of media on sales and other branding metrics. The focus of this role will be on acquiring new business through the development of a clear go-to-market strategy that results in meaningful client relationships, closing deals, and ensuring growth commensurate with business expectations. This role will collaborate with Solution Consultants, Client Business Partners, Account Development leads and Customer Success team members in order to own the sales cycle. As an individual contributor, this role will drive deals to successful outcomes across complex sales phases in a timely manner while generating new product ideas and bringing the voice of the customer back to product management. The VP, Marketing Effectiveness will partner with Advertisers, Agencies, and Media Owners to sell solutions that will help refine advertisers' marketing investment and showcase its contribution to sales success, optimize spend across marketing channels, measure sales lift of campaigns, and monitor impact of media investments on market share to measure ROAS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships to sell our Marketing Effectiveness solutions.
  • Use your consultative/challenger selling skills to identify client business needs, qualify, probe, scope and sell in NielsenIQ Marketing Effectiveness services.
  • Achieve an annual Revenue/Sales target.
  • Use Marketing Effectiveness insights to enable and demonstrate strength of clients' commercial impact; grounded in NIQ's proprietary store-level data and other industry-defining assets.
  • Attend annual conferences/tradeshows when appropriate.
  • Self-start and proactively prospect clients to drive initial purchases.
  • Display mastery of time management to focus on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Manage sales pipeline reporting and proper CRM hygiene with excellence.
  • Become proficient in NielsenIQ Marketing Effectiveness solutions, systems, and software tools.
  • Develop Account Plans and initiatives to drive growth within your assigned accounts and verticals.
  • Represent voice of customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications, and delivery teams.
  • Uncover and disseminate advertiser, publisher, agency, and competitive intelligence with a high degree of urgency.
  • Work highly collaboratively with other cross functional NIQ partners.
  • Contribute to assigned projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree favored.
  • 5+ years' consultative selling (full-cycle) experience within market research, media, and/or media agencies.
  • Previous experience selling marketing mix modeling, choice modeling/Conjoint to advertisers and/or media owners preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Management experience a plus (may lead team in future).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex issues in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree favored.
