About the Role

The VP of Marketing at an AI technology company (Series A) will lead the company's marketing efforts, focusing on branding, messaging, and positioning. The role involves building out the inbound marketing machine, overseeing a team of marketing associates, and driving overall company growth through strategic marketing initiatives. The company is a Series A startup with over $27M in funds raised, founded by a serial entrepreneur with a successful exit history, and is based in NYC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build out the inbound marketing machine and lead overall marketing functions companywide.
  • Oversee a team of 3 marketing associates, including a senior demand generation manager, senior product marketing manager, and content marketing manager.
  • Define product messaging to effectively communicate with the target audience and stand out in the noisy AI marketing landscape.
  • Increase inbound traffic, brand awareness, and convert prospects into customers.
  • Help craft messaging that resonates with the target audience and supports business growth.
  • Partner with sales to develop demand planning processes and manage forecasts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in a B2B SaaS startup environment with demonstrable results in building marketing teams and successful exits.
  • Experience working with product development, sales, and marketing teams to launch products successfully.
  • Strong desire to be hands-on and involved in the day-to-day marketing activities.
  • Understanding of demand planning processes and confidence in building and managing forecasts.
  • Located in NYC (candidates outside this area will not be considered).
  • Identify as a 'Revenue Centric' marketing leader and be excited to partner with sales.
