About the Role

Sanofi Rare Diseases has modernized a successful 30-year rare disease business model to deliver new therapies over the next 5 years and maintain leadership in the pharma environment. The Associate Director, Patient Marketing will play a critical role in maintaining Sanofi's leadership in and commitment to Rare Disease, driving personalized and optimized patient experiences, and improving patient outcomes. This role involves providing patient engagement expertise across multiple launches, working within a collaborative, innovative global healthcare company dedicated to transforming lives affected by immune challenges, rare diseases, blood disorders, cancers, and neurological disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create tailored and actionable omnichannel customer engagement strategies.
  • Understand patient unmet needs regarding engagement.
  • Create a robust and holistic view of the customer journey, including stakeholder mapping and influence network.
  • Determine critical moments and barriers in the patient journey and develop content to overcome those barriers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align objectives with brand strategy.
  • Design a hyper-personalized modular content plan that is relevant, unified, and customized for target audiences.
  • Establish clear objectives and metrics to measure customer value, tracking KPIs, performance analytics, and ROI by channel.
  • Continuously optimize engagement strategies and identify new ways to improve patient education and engagement.
  • Develop content for Patient Education Programs and PSS-led programs, focusing on launches.
  • Lead and execute the 1RarePatient ambassador program, including developing programs for specific patient groups.
  • Serve as the PSS liaison for 1Rare initiatives rolled out to sales.
  • Lead and execute patient advisory boards.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Successful track record of strategic decision making, innovation, and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated expertise in patient experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, life sciences, or related area.
  • MBA strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel 25% within the US.
