About the Role

Business Insider is seeking an Account Director, Growth Tech to join our Revenue team and lead strategic relationships with high-profile technology and telecommunications partners. The role involves translating business goals into impactful media solutions across various formats, influencing cross-functional teams, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic media brand that is redefining business media through storytelling, innovation, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day and long-term relationships with key tech and telco brands, translating business goals into marketing programs that perform
  • Develop and pitch full-funnel solutions across our suite: branded content, video, programmatic, data, and events
  • Manage a mix of mature and emerging accounts with support, and identify opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Studios, Media Planning, and Client Services to bring ideas to life and ensure successful execution
  • Serve as a true partner to clients by educating, problem-solving, and pushing innovation
  • Use Salesforce to manage pipeline, forecast, and track performance
  • Act as an ambassador for Business Insider both internally and externally, demonstrating energy, professionalism, and insight
  • Achieve or exceed revenue targets and contribute to shaping Business Insider’s presence in the tech space

Requirements

  • A strong communicator with 5+ years of digital ad sales experience
  • Deep knowledge of the tech and/or telco landscape, with existing client and agency relationships preferred
  • Comfort discussing branded content, data-driven media strategies, and fluency in programmatic
  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment
  • Passion for storytelling, media, innovation, and helping clients succeed
  • Proven ability to develop strategic account plans and manage complex sales cycles

Nice to Have

  • Existing client and agency relationships in the tech and telco sectors
  • Fluency in programmatic advertising

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in digital ad sales
