Nestled in the Juniata River Valley of Central Pennsylvania, our family-friendly campground is known for its diverse themed weekends, fun activities, and welcoming atmosphere. Our mission is to deliver exceptional guest experiences while fostering a fun, supportive, and team-oriented workplace. The Activities & Marketing Director will lead our activities department, oversee activity programs, manage social media marketing, and contribute to creating a vibrant, family-friendly environment in a dynamic outdoor setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and fun work environment for your team.
  • Serve as a mentor, inspiring your staff to deliver high-quality guest experiences.
  • Develop and execute innovative, safe, and engaging activities for all ages.
  • Organize and host themed events that align with our mission to create joyful memories for guests.
  • Introduce fresh ideas and signature events that attract new and returning visitors.
  • Manage and track the activities budget and resources.
  • Lead a creative social media strategy to increase guest engagement and bookings, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
  • Promote activities through social media, the Buttonwood App, and direct guest interactions.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and oversee the activities team.
  • Set clear goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for team members.
  • Deliver training and feedback to build a high-performing, motivated team.
  • Interact with guests to gather feedback and ensure activities meet and exceed expectations.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to enhance event offerings.
  • Use EOS tools to set quarterly Rocks (90-day goals) and contribute to long-term strategy.
  • Monitor and report on participation, team performance, and social media engagement to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience managing people and organizing activities.
  • Degree in Recreational Management preferred.
  • A creative thinker who can solve challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Someone who thrives on inspiring a team and creating unforgettable experiences.

  • Degree in Recreational Management
