About the Role

The Berkshire Hathaway Automotive Marketing team is seeking a self-motivated, detail-conscious Advertising Consultant to join their collaborative team at the Irving, Texas office. The role involves managing dealership accounts, overseeing all deliverables including production, plans, and media strategy, and serving as the primary internal representative for each dealership account. The position emphasizes an ownership mentality, account supervision, and coordination with external agencies to ensure effective marketing efforts for some of the industry's most successful dealerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary internal representative for each dealership account and supervise all day-to-day agency activity on their accounts.
  • Manage ecommerce efforts including website updates, eNewsletters, and email campaigns at the store level, providing follow-up and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate production activities with outside advertising agencies to ensure on-time delivery of materials to media vendors.
  • Review all advertising messages and campaigns for compliance with Federal, State, and local laws.
  • Maintain a standardized media budget system and trigger media purchases with the media buying agency.
  • Lead planning meetings with store leadership, agencies, and media buyers to develop and execute marketing plans.
  • Implement early buying practices to maximize media spend efficiency.
  • Build and maintain dealership relationships, managing strategic advertising plans, production, and schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Broadcasting/Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs including Excel and Word.
  • At least 5 years of corporate marketing and/or advertising agency experience preferred.
  • Experience collaborating and communicating effectively with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects through effective time management and prioritization.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Strong client service skills and ability to maintain confidence of store leadership.
  • Experience with marketing and advertising software for client and project management is a plus.
  • Interest and working knowledge of automotive sales and business principles.
  • Ability to travel to out-of-state dealership clients as needed.
