About the Role

The Advertising Manager at Margaritaville Resort Casino is responsible for managing advertising efforts for the property, serving as a liaison for public relations, developing and implementing operational goals, and monitoring performance and profit objectives. The role involves creating schedules, maintaining labor costs, supporting customer service standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing marketing support services including advertising, community relations, and internal requests. The position requires collaboration with vendors, managing advertising budgets, and enhancing guest interactions to create a positive atmosphere. The role is integral to promoting the property’s entertainment offerings and maintaining brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing advertising for the property, including strategy, creation, and budget oversight of billboards, newspapers, radio, TV, signage, entertainment, community relations, and social media.
  • Serving as a liaison for property public relations and developing operational goals to monitor performance and profit objectives.
  • Creating effective schedules, maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Assisting in the department's budget process, providing recommendations, and ensuring compliance with budget initiatives.
  • Supporting and promoting superior customer service standards and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Enhancing guest interactions through greeting, providing directions, answering questions, and creating a positive atmosphere.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance within the area of responsibility and reporting potential issues.
  • Managing relationships with outside vendors to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective campaigns.
  • Tracking expenses and managing the monthly financial close process for advertising.
  • Identifying opportunities for community outreach and public relations activities.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in marketing, finance, or a related field.
  • Five years of progressively challenging leadership roles in marketing or operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact diplomatically with guests, staff, and colleagues to resolve problems and conflicts.
  • Ability to perform basic math operations and interpret data visually.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and use of a plotter.
  • Experience in casino/gaming industry.
