About the Role

Goldman Sachs is hiring a Vice President on the Regional Marketing and Events team to support the Private Wealth Management business in San Francisco. This role involves executing regional marketing and events strategies, partnering with business leaders, advisors, marketing teams, and agencies to deliver high-quality content and experiences for clients and prospects. The position requires a collaborative, creative, and client-centric individual with strong communication skills and regional knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with local leadership, advisors, marketing team members, and agencies to monitor industry trends and develop tailored marketing strategies for the San Francisco/Bay Area region, including identifying client needs, messaging, channels, tactics, KPIs, and measurement plans.
  • Create content, materials, and pitchbooks for clients and prospects, overseeing writing, editing, design, and distribution through various channels such as email, web, and social media.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute in-person events for ultra-high net worth individuals and families to foster client relationships and attract new clients, including developing event strategies, selecting speakers, preparing presentation materials, and managing logistics.
  • Research market trends to inform event programming and track event success, analyzing effectiveness in generating leads.
  • Assist in maintaining a central event calendar across PWM, cross-divisional, and external events.
  • Ensure advisors are informed about new materials, content, and upcoming events through internal communications and guides.
  • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) to track event registration, attendee data, and generate reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple event projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
  • Work closely with PWAs, content teams, and compliance officers to ensure events align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate event details effectively to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring flawless execution and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of professional experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of the Bay Area arts and cultural scene is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial and creative thinking abilities
  • Willingness to travel

Nice to Have
