About the Role

The Assistant Media Planner for Out of Home at OMG23 works closely with Supervisors and Planners to develop and maintain media plans, focusing on Out of Home and print media. The role involves supporting media recommendation processes, collaborating with internal teams, and gaining media knowledge within a dynamic environment dedicated to Disney brands and entertainment campaigns. The position is based in Burbank, CA, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development and execution of Out of Home (OOH) and print media plans
  • Compiling data to support media recommendations, including running syndicated research on consumers
  • Updating media planning documents for client use
  • Communicating and collaborating with internal planning, activation, and digital teams
  • Collecting competitive research and preparing reports
  • Assisting print/OOH team with client-supplied Adobe InDesign creative files and developing filmmaker presentations on Keynote
  • Assisting with the contracting of inventory and organizing proof-of-performance photos and reports
  • Conducting campaign audits through 'market rides' with vendor partners
  • Developing professional relationships with media vendors
  • Participating in brainstorm sessions
  • Attending the OMG23 Media Training Program to learn media concepts, fundamentals, building blocks, and presentation skills
  • Attending internal and external meetings and presentations
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends through advertising and media trade journals

Requirements

  • College graduate with a strong interest in media planning or digital media
  • Relevant experience (employment or internship) in media or advertising preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and math skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly in meetings with internal teams and clients
  • Ability to be agile and adaptable in a quick turnaround environment
  • Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is preferred
