About the Role

Bloomberg Media is expanding its global footprint through innovative media platforms and live events. Bloomberg Live Experiences (BLE) delivers compelling, news-making convenings that connect global leaders and communities to address pressing issues. The role involves developing event product sales materials and strategic proposals to drive sponsorships, with a focus on BLE Forums such as the Bloomberg New Economy Forum and Qatar Economic Forum. The position is based at Bloomberg's New York headquarters and reports to the Executive Director, Commercial Strategy & Partnerships, Forums.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build compelling sales collateral including Go-To-Market presentations, proposals, and one sheets.
  • Help build the commercial narrative and framing for BLE Forums, ensuring stories are effectively voiced and strategized in materials.
  • Develop thoughtful, strategic, and compelling event proposals that meet client metrics.
  • Research client thought-leadership and business objectives to understand their priorities.
  • Creatively design sales collateral to ensure all materials are visually compelling.
  • Work cross-functionally across BLE teams (Editorial, Production, Marketing, Community Innovation) to develop ideas and meet objectives.
  • Ideate and collaborate with teams throughout Bloomberg Media to incorporate new ideas into proposals and GTM materials.
  • Support the development of multi-channel products and offerings within BLE.
  • Participate in internal brainstorms and contribute new ideas.
  • Coordinate follow-ups from meetings, manage information flow, and ensure timelines and deadlines are met.
  • Assist with the development of client kick-off decks, sponsor guidebooks, and post-event reports.
  • Work on commercial packaging, pricing, and products for BLE.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and stay informed about media, event landscape, and new product offerings.
  • Maintain the hygiene of collateral on shared drives.
  • Lead by example with ambition, generosity, and collaboration when working with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4-8 years of experience in developing marketing proposals and sales collateral, preferably at a media organization.
  • Ability to build decks that flow, tell a clear story, and are visually appealing.
  • Strong eye for design and ability to craft highly-visual materials.
  • Impressive writing skills with the ability to distill complex ideas into simple sentences.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A strong commercial approach; sales experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of live events and the media landscape.
