About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Director of Patient Marketing, the Associate Director, Patient Marketing (US) will be responsible for the execution and planning of patient-facing marketing activities for ARCALYST® (Rilonacept). This role involves driving the patient marketing strategy, brand initiatives such as messaging, segmentation, targeting, promotional, educational, and other brand-related activities. The position requires collaboration with HCP marketing, Patient services, Business insights, and other teams to achieve results, with a focus on building a company that impacts patients with high unmet needs. The role is based in Lexington, MA, with a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-develop the patient strategy and drive tactical plans in collaboration with market access, patient services, commercial operations, and insights and analytics.
  • Coordinate efforts with patient advocacy, medical affairs, and field medical personnel where appropriate.
  • Drive development of key patient-facing tactics, including an omnichannel branded DTC approach (e.g., brand.com, social media, CTV, patient CRM strategy).
  • Co-lead market research to define adoption drivers and barriers, patient value proposition and messaging, and patient education and training strategies.
  • Manage agency partners and vendors on market research efforts, creation of marketing materials, materials reviews, and budget adherence.
  • Drive development and approval of all marketing materials through medical, regulatory, and legal review processes, integrating feedback for compliant execution.
  • Interact with the patient community and relevant stakeholders such as advocacy organizations in collaboration with Medical Affairs.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to meet commercial and corporate objectives.

Requirements

  • Requires a BS degree (MBA or advanced degree preferred) with 7+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical brand marketing role.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in patient/consumer marketing role.
  • Experience in co-developing and executing omnichannel branded DTC campaigns, including a CTV or linear TV component.
  • Experience with patient CRMs to drive patient activation.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Solutions-oriented with strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to drive innovative thinking and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
  • Strong communicator at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in rare disease or specialty pharma is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years' experience in pharmaceutical brand marketing.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in patient/consumer marketing.
