About the Role

As the Regional Marketing Leader (ADRML) for Lung in the Carolinas at AstraZeneca, you will leverage your clinical knowledge and experience to make a meaningful impact on patient care within a global pharmaceutical company. The role involves developing and implementing regional marketing plans, coordinating with oncology business managers and national account directors, generating customer insights, and engaging regional customers to build market leadership and achieve commercial objectives. You will work closely with the Head of Regional Marketing and be responsible for influencing local brand support and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Regional Marketing Plans that align with brand strategy plans and influence local brand support.
  • Coordinate with Oncology Business Managers and National Oncology Account Directors to inform regional strategic planning.
  • Generate timely and actionable customer insights through interactions such as 1:1s, congresses, consultancies, and advisory board meetings.
  • Identify and effectively engage a core group of 35-50 National and Regional ESEs to advocate for the brand.
  • Manage multiple program budgets, timelines, processes, and procedures ethically and compliantly.
  • Collaborate with field sales leadership, ADs, and Brand Teams to develop and execute local strategies based on market opportunities.
  • Conduct work during evenings and weekends as needed, with travel up to 50% including overnight trips to Hawaii and overseas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry, including managed markets, brand marketing, sales management, or strategic planning.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Oncology marketing and/or sales experience.
  • Documented success in partnership-building with industry thought leaders.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced Degree (MS, MBA, or PhD).
  • 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in managed markets, brand marketing, sales management, or strategic planning.
  • 5 years of Oncology marketing or sales experience.
  • Extensive, documented experience managing thought leader or key opinion leader (KOL) relationships.

  • Documented success in partnership-building with industry thought leaders.
