About the Role

The opportunity involves working as a Senior Automated Software Test Engineer to thoroughly test software, ensure functionality, reliability, and user experience, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The role focuses on evaluating software developed for law enforcement, creating test plans and cases, automating testing processes, and expanding skills in automation, cloud, and enterprise systems. The position emphasizes developing and maintaining testing frameworks, monitoring system health, and contributing to software development that protects public and internal workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Work with cross-functional teams and users to evaluate software developed for law enforcement.
Create test plans and test cases based on user stories.
Perform a blend of functional and automation testing to generate data and observe software performance.
Document test results and communicate defects to the development team.
Automate continuous security and performance testing.
Monitor the health of analytics applications, host platforms, and data.
Write code to test, create libraries, and build ground-up testing frameworks.
Broaden experience in automation testing, cloud, and enterprise systems while sharing testing expertise with the team.

Requirements

Experience designing and executing test scripts, test plans, and procedures, and documenting results.
Experience with automation testing frameworks.
Experience creating and updating automated test cases or scripts.
Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience with software testing, or 14+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice to Have

Experience with programming in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
Experience with backend testing, API testing, UI testing, and database queries.
Experience testing cloud-based architectures.
Experience integrating test frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with an Agile release methodology.
Knowledge of commercial cloud platforms, services, and technologies.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Qualifications

Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience with software testing or 14+ years in lieu of a degree.
