About the Role

The AVP, Belk Rewards Marketing Manager is a critical member of the Belk portfolio team at Synchrony, responsible for leading efforts to support cobrand and existing cardholder campaign execution. The role involves defining new opportunities to drive profitable growth in the portfolio, working in a flexible environment that offers options to work from home or in-office, and collaborating with internal and external partners to develop integrated marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnering with internal client organization and internal partners to identify and develop integrated solutions to grow retailer sales, credit penetration, incremental sales and net income.
  • Partnering with the Belk client to develop both acquisition and lifecycle co-brand marketing strategies and communications based on industry trends, competitive insights, VOC/VOA research and prior campaign performance.
  • Managing all components of direct marketing programs from design to execution, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements, achieving desired results, and maintaining timelines and cost estimates.
  • Tracking and maintaining the marketing programs budget, ensuring client alignment.
  • Defining, executing, and managing customer and associate research with internal and external partner organizations.
  • Providing thought leadership to influence SYF and Belk business leaders to implement marketing and product strategies based on customer, financial, and data-driven insights.
  • Developing business case presentations and action plans to drive marketing strategy, including targeting recommendations, test design, cross-channel optimization, product opportunities, and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Supporting various areas of focus as identified by internal and client needs.
  • Performing other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of degree, a high school diploma and 8 years in a marketing or customer analytics role in the financial services, credit card, and/or payments industry.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in a marketing role at a multi-product/multi-channel financial services or retail organization.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office product suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously for on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Relationship management experience with cross-functional business partners and executive leadership.
  • Experience working on web analytics, tracking performance from advertisement through to transaction completion.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing.

  • Knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations impacting financial services products (e.g., FCRA, UDAAP, Card Act, e-Signature Act, Reg B).
  • Experience with CRM and MRM information management and workflow systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or a bachelor's degree.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $90,000 - $155,000 annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus based on performance.
