About the Role

The AVP (Chief Marketing Officer for the Central Division) at Providence is a senior-level leadership role responsible for driving overall marketing results, developing strategies to strengthen Providence’s brand position, and leading large multidisciplinary teams. The position involves partnering with various leaders to coordinate marketing strategies across functions, advising executive leadership on marketing initiatives, and shaping the future of healthcare delivery within a vibrant, community-focused organization that values human connection and diversity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise executive leadership on critical marketing initiatives and provide solutions to complex issues.
  • Establish strong relationships across the organization to influence strategy development and communicate marketing progress.
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of system marketing efforts, including annual planning, priority setting, and budget alignment.
  • Drive competitive strategy to ensure growth in volume, revenue, and return on marketing investment.
  • Oversee competitive environment analysis and communicate findings to leadership for strategic recommendations.
  • Implement brand strategy, manage identity standards, and provide brand consultation in business discussions.
  • Build, manage, and coach a high-performing marketing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • 10+ years in senior management leading successful marketing teams.
  • Strong verbal communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and resolve problems.
  • Analytical mindset to analyze and communicate business requirements.
  • Working knowledge of brand principles and identity management.
  • Confident, driven, and dynamic leadership with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in related field.
  • Healthcare marketing experience.

Qualifications

  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in senior management roles in marketing.
