Their mission is to inform and empower viewers with relevant local Spanish-language news and information across multimedia platforms, serving the U.S. Hispanic community. Powered by NBCU, Telemundo offers programming including FIFA World Cup, Olympics, Miss Universe, Billboard Latin Music Awards, NFL games in Spanish, and more. The company is seeking a bilingual Marketing Director to work from the Brookhaven offices, overseeing 44 Telemundo stations nationwide, collaborating with local stations and national teams to produce Spanish language client spots, promos, grassroots event guidance, promote programming, and create sales/sizzle videos for broadcast, digital, and events. Light travel may be involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hispanic media marketing, promotions, events, and sales.
  • Liaison between Gray Telemundo Stations and Telemundo Affiliate Marketing
  • Work with Stations to manage and maintain Telemundo Marketing commitments
  • Produce promos, sizzle reels, client spots, PSAs, and sponsored short and long format segments from A to Z for the Telemundo Affiliate Station Group within Gray Media.
  • Experience working with Spanish language spots, creative, marketing, events, and partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing and the assets needed for successful campaigns.
  • Work with stations and clients to bring concepts to reality to increase on-air/digital media awareness of new businesses, products, and initiatives through well-thought-out spots and editorial content.
  • Provide customized assets for the Gray Telemundo affiliate station group for Broadcast and Digital/OTT advertising sales campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with stations and clients by identifying clients' advertising needs and developing customized solutions.
  • Create sales and marketing sponsorship/promotion ideas
  • Communicate effectively with local sales teams and management
  • Work with internal departments to manage account stewardship through the process.
  • Bring a high energy level, ambition, intensity, and long-term perspective to be a core part of building something genuinely significant over time.
  • Be a hands-on leader, self-starter, resourceful, and able to identify and articulate opportunities for product/process improvement.
  • Must be highly organized.

Requirements

  • Experience with Editing Software such as Adobe CC, Avid, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Ability to create excellent creative for all multimedia platforms from beginning to end. (Storyboard, script, directing, filming, graphics, and editing)
  • Must be able to communicate and understand the needs of the client/station to produce high-performing creative (spot, digital asset, graphics, etc.)
  • Experience in bilingual broadcast and marketing. A sales mindset is a plus!
  • Must understand the target bilingual audience.
  • Team player with a high level of excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while understanding priorities.
  • Must be willing to travel and be client-facing.
  • Ability to create knock-out sales presentations/videos.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
