About the Role

The role of Brand Manager I, Front End Innovation at Starbucks involves representing the Starbucks brand on Front End Innovation while supporting new product development across platforms in partnership with Nestlé. The position focuses on ensuring products, packaging, and marketing elevate the brand and meet business objectives, providing consumers with everything needed to craft exceptional beverages at home. Key Responsibilities

  • Support long-term innovation strategy by building the 3+ year Starbucks At Home Coffee pipeline, leveraging macrotrends and consumer and business insights to craft a strategic plan.
  • Lead the development of big bet innovation by collaborating with cross-functional project teams to ensure timely and strong execution of new products.
  • Influence and inspire internal and external cross-functional partners across Starbucks and Nestlé, serving as an innovation and strategy connector.
  • Bring medium-term innovation to commercialization by co-developing and participating in design and test/learn strategies that progress long-term innovation phases including desirability, feasibility, and viability.

Requirements

  • A passion for and history of launching successful innovation, with CPG experience preferred.
  • Strong human-centered design and test/learn experience.
  • Strong experience interpreting and leveraging consumer insights.
  • Progressive experience in brand management (5-7 years).
  • Project leadership in large cross-functional environments (5-7 years).
  • Ability to thrive in and effectively manage ambiguity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Thought leadership and a brand champion.
  • MBA strongly preferred.

  • Experience in launching successful innovations in CPG.
  • Leadership skills and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Management experience of at least 3 years.
  • Master's degree, preferably an MBA.
  • Senior-level experience in brand management and project leadership.
