About the Role

The CHANEL Brand Manager at Bergdorf Goodman is the leader and brand ambassador responsible for building and developing an exceptional team, driving results, and ensuring superior client service. The role involves promoting the vision and culture of Bergdorf Goodman while representing the CHANEL brand, with a focus on increasing sales, managing associate performance, and executing client strategies within a luxury retail environment. Bergdorf Goodman is part of Neiman Marcus Group, a leading multi-brand luxury retailer committed to diversity, innovation, and delivering personalized luxury experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the vision and culture of Bergdorf Goodman while being an ambassador of the CHANEL brand.
  • Develop and achieve business goals in partnership with BG and CHANEL, devising creative and strategic solutions to increase sales.
  • Own associate performance management, career development, and coaching, recognizing outstanding performance and addressing opportunities for growth.
  • Manage BG strategy and initiatives to achieve sales goals for the vendor and individual associate KPIs.
  • Create and implement strategies to increase brand availability to emerging sellers outside of the department.
  • Develop client strategies, including a vision for an Emerging Elite Program and strategies for development and retention of current VIC client relationships.
  • Lead partnership and execution between BG and CHANEL on all client-facing events and experiences.
  • Serve as visual liaison with the vendor brand.
  • Facilitate scheduling of vendor brand training needs, including collection launches, seasonal marketing, and selling ceremonies.
  • Collate business recaps and communicate insights to stakeholders through executive summaries and seller communication.

Requirements

  • Experience in retail sales management or a related leadership role.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sales and client engagement initiatives.
  • Strong team leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Discretion in handling proprietary information.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with luxury brands or in high-end retail environments.
  • Knowledge of client relationship management strategies and programs.
  • Familiarity with visual merchandising and event execution in luxury retail.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail management or luxury brand environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
