Brand Specialist- Fashion & Luxury

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Research items, verify their authenticity, and write detailed descriptions for the auction catalog.
• Assess the condition, materials, dimensions, and other relevant details of fashion and luxury items.
• Capture high-quality images of items for online and print catalogs, ensuring accurate representation.
• Catalog work using auction software and other systems to enter and edit catalog text for accuracy and timely completion.
• Collaborate with specialists, consignors, and other departments to ensure accurate and effective cataloging.
• Write condition reports for items, highlighting any damage, repairs, or issues affecting value.
• Interact with potential buyers, answering questions and providing additional information about items.
• Assist with auction logistics, including item pickup, load-out, and exhibition setup.
• Review and proofread catalog entries to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

• Experience in auction house, ecommerce, or second-hand luxury shop.
• Knowledge of retail and resale markets for luxury handbags and accessories.
• Experience as an authenticator and valuer of luxury goods is a plus.
• Interest in luxury brands and ecommerce businesses.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and flexible attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; able to build client relationships.
• Client-focused with a commitment to outstanding service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy, global team.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite; tech savvy.
• Ability to assemble, dress, and move mannequins (approximately 15-20 lbs).
• Ability to stand and/or walk during shifts and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.

• Experience in authentication and valuation of luxury goods.
