This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, and involves leading growth efforts within the National Security Space line of business, specifically in remote sensing and related domains, to meet long-term strategic and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic growth plans focused on remote sensing (RS) and related core and near-core markets.
  • Lead efforts to assess the viability of RS markets, customer budgets, and the competitive landscape to determine investment focus.
  • Identify, prioritize, and qualify pursuits through the LM Space new business process, supporting diversification of risk and achievement of growth goals.
  • Manage RS customer engagement activities across the NSS line of business, building relationships to ensure mission understanding and growth.
  • Oversee and lead capture and proposal activities within the RS new business portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategy and development of discriminating value propositions.
  • Engage with NSS LOB and LM Space senior leadership to build advocacy and support for new business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with organizations across NSS LOB, LM Space, and Lockheed Martin to coordinate new business activities and leverage resources.
  • Develop inputs into strategic plans and investment roadmaps.
  • Deliver competitor intelligence analysis to inform strategic positioning.

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree.
  • Experience in Business Development, Investor Relations, Sales, Capture, Investment Banking/Finance, or Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Willingness to travel domestically with up to monthly frequency.
  • Top Secret Clearance.
  • Experience executing growth strategies, identifying and qualifying new markets, and developing strong value propositions.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and engage high-level government stakeholders.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

Nice to Have

  • A degree in Aerospace Engineering and/or Business.
  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Experience with DoD & Intelligence Community programs and acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with the Space industry, including customers, missions, programs, and companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively drive change and grow a large aerospace business unit.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and direct cross-functional teams.
