About the Role

This position will support and lead Asset/Operational Strategy and Management Needs within the Solstice Advanced Materials (AM) businesses, reporting to VP of Strategy- Assets. The role involves working closely with global business leaders across Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Technology, Finance, M&A, and the AM Leadership Team to maximize profitability, optimize supply chain and capacity investments, and support strategic asset decisions. It is designed as a feeder role for larger business or functional roles depending on the candidate's experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead Asset/Operational Strategy and Management Needs within the Solstice Advanced Materials businesses.
  • Work closely with global business leaders to maximize profitability and return on investment of the AM asset base.
  • Connect STRAP to Business Execution, drive strategic supply decisions, and optimize capacity investments.
  • Lead Asset Addition/Deletion Investment Cases affecting manufacturing capacity or geographic diversity.
  • Develop and support asset light manufacturing strategies including strategic sourcing, tolling, or joint ventures.
  • Identify long-term supply/demand balances and develop strategies to fulfill or avoid gaps.
  • Manage strategic supply transition pipeline, asset repositioning, or divestitures.
  • Generate and implement Cost of Goods Sold productivity projects.
  • Support resiliency analysis and improvement of the global supply chain.
  • Provide leadership with well-written and oral presentations to support business investment decisions.
  • Develop strategic direction for New Product Innovation (NPI) and Break Through Initiatives (BTI).
  • Negotiate contracts with third-party suppliers/providers/partners as needed.
  • Connect STRAP to execution for expansions, contractions, diversifications, and cost optimization.
  • Own market development, risk management, and financial impact of non-core products.
  • Support annual STRAP process with expansion investment and productivity impact analysis.
  • Lead or support joint venture or third-party supply development investments and business cases.
  • Manage data sharing and cross-functional projects to strengthen the supply side of the business.
  • Lead functions (Manufacturing, Procurement, ISC, HSE, Engineering, Finance, HR) in executing capacity expansion strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Robust corporate financial acumen and valuation skills.
  • Strong executive-level communication ability, including verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Critical thinker capable of conducting strategic analysis and making recommendations.

Nice to Have

  • MBA/MS in business, finance, or other technical/analytical discipline.
  • People management experience and leading direct teams.
  • 8 or more years of applicable experience with strong marketing aptitude and business interest.
  • Ability to perform financial analyses (NPV, IRR, payback, etc.).
  • Understanding of absorption and variable costing accounting.
  • Previous experience in strategy or management consulting.
  • Ability to influence multi-functional teams without direct reporting relationships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
