About the Role

The company connects various stakeholders through innovative solutions, impacting daily financial transactions such as credit card swipes, mobile payments, and bank withdrawals. The VP Business Development role involves leading strategic growth initiatives, managing sales teams, and developing deep partnerships to drive revenue across the CardConnect and Clover platforms in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a regional sales team focused on driving agent growth and revenue growth through Clover and Fiserv offerings.
  • Execute against defined sales metrics and KPIs including client acquisition, activation rates, revenue targets and Clover Growth.
  • Serve as the primary advocate for feedback from Agent partners and small business customers, translating insights into actionable outcomes and go-to-market improvements.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Strategy teams to inform the development and direction of the healthcare payments solution based on real-world small business needs.
  • Present to Fiserv's clients as part of quarterly reviews on sales performance, new products, field issues and resolution.
  • Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, reinforcing a results-driven, customer-centric culture.
  • Assign clients, territories, and sales targets to sales staff and ensure sales goals are met.
  • Plan and direct sales activities across the US to ensure staffing requirements are consistently fulfilled.
  • Define and execute sales strategies and tactics to increase new merchant sales and add-on revenues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of sales/RM and sales management experience.
  • Experience selling merchant acquiring solutions to the SMB market.
  • Experience managing successful sales/RM teams in the ISO or agent space.
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales targets on a consistent basis.
  • Demonstrated success at leading field sales/RM teams.
  • Ability to travel 50%+ across the US.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
