About the Role

Business Development Executives are key impact players, responsible for driving sales through proactive prospecting and relationship building, with a focus on safety and technical understanding of fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Master the ability to deliver the company's value proposition in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Work with prospects and clients to identify needs, budgets, timelines, business benefits, and key decision makers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers, influencers, and industry contacts.
  • Act as the primary point person for prospective project opportunities from internal and external sources.
  • Accurately forecast and achieve sales goals.
  • Learn and be passionate about the technical aspects of how the company's systems work to keep people safe.
  • Prepare proposals, arrange product demonstrations, deliver presentations, competitively price services, negotiate contract terms, close deals, and oversee the hand-off from sales to operations.
  • Maintain an organized and disciplined CRM usage to optimize success.

Requirements

  • No less than 3 years of professional sales experience in a relevant industry, with proven results in volume and margin.
  • Zero inhibitions towards generating outbound prospecting efforts through cold calling, networking, asking for referrals, or other means.
  • Commitment to accurately documenting all prospecting interactions using a web-based CRM platform.
  • A defined and organized process for managing a schedule of follow-up.
  • Ability to project and meet weekly sales goals.
  • Discipline to work independently with minimal supervision, manage time effectively, and meet goals and deadlines.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and general proficiency with technology.

  • Experience with product demos.
  • Experience in sales within fire protection or related industries.
  • Strong network of industry contacts.

Qualifications

  • Professional sales experience of at least 3 years in a relevant industry.
