We design, manufacture, and integrate precision motion control components and systems, and our Commercial Aircraft Group is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in East Aurora, New York, reporting to the Director of Business Development for Commercial Aftermarket.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for implementation of business unit strategies.
  • Externally, promote a common understanding of Commercial Aircraft Aftermarket capabilities throughout various markets.
  • Provide marketing analysis to help guide refinement of business unit strategy roadmaps.
  • Support the execution of near-term and long-term new business development plans for the Commercial Aftermarket.
  • Assist in increasing and protecting Moog's market share, expanding scope of supply, and broadening customer base globally.
  • Support the development of new business strategy with other Commercial Aftermarket team members.
  • Understand all aspects of the air framer / customer, including its business, strategy, culture, and decision-making process.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Moog subsidiaries on sales initiatives and opportunities.
  • Research, analyze, recommend, and execute new business development initiatives to create increased revenue opportunities.
  • Provide insight to business unit directors for pricing and relationship strategies regarding new commercial aftermarket business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Aircraft Industry experience with new business development.
  • Proven capabilities in selling, relationship building, negotiation, contract development, contract management, market, and business plans.
  • Ability to execute sales plans with recognition of strong travel requirements.
  • Proven ability to work closely and constructively with other sales professionals to represent customer needs within Moog.
  • Travel: Approximately 40% travel (Domestic and/or international).

  • Knowledge and experience in Commercial Aircraft Aftermarket field.

Qualifications

  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in the Aircraft Industry with new business development.
