CVS Media Exchange (CMX) is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for suppliers, merchants, stores, GMs, brand advertisers, and agencies through full-funnel ad solutions leveraging CVS's data and extensive reach, helping businesses build brand awareness, engage consumers, and convert shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key stakeholder for the CMX business specifically for General Merchandise and Consumables, driving alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Own relationships with essential internal stakeholders, translating CVS marketing and priorities into deeper advertiser relationships.
  • Identify revenue-driving opportunities that integrate advertiser and CVS marketing goals, bringing to life win-win scenarios via Tent Pole Events and other curated occasions.
  • Help drive internal education and advocacy for CMX by aligning to key tentpoles and building exclusive programs connecting advertisers with high-intent CVS shoppers.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to socialize progress, demonstrate value, and bring others along on the journey.
  • Co-create and deploy best practices and joint learning agendas across CMX and CVS teams to enhance the advertiser experience.
  • Vet new business potential independently, including creating category-specific media packages and exploring new operating models.
  • Assess landscape, gather input, explore feasibility, and produce project deliverables such as advertiser pitch collateral, business cases, and white papers.
  • Create sales stories and multi-supplier campaign initiatives based on knowledge of digital and physical retail media marketplace and data-driven strategy.
  • Develop programs and collateral that are lucrative to clients by understanding category and brand business trends.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of marketing experience with a foundation of business, retailer, CPG, and consumer understanding.
  • 4+ years of cross-functional leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of retail media or retail agency strategy experience.
  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience including testing and validating new opportunities.
  • Comfort with vetting new business potential and independently driving recommendations.
  • Ability to create category-specific media packages and assess feasibility of new initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of digital and physical retail media marketplace and data-driven strategy.

Nice to Have

  • 1+ years of brand or category management experience.
  • Experience in Consumables/General Merchandise/Seasonal categories.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Experience creating business cases and translating opportunities into recommended plans.
  • Familiarity with relevant marketing technology, especially digital and physical paid and owned channels.
  • Detail-oriented with experience managing sales collateral, presentations, reports, case studies, and project plans.
  • Creative problem solver capable of incorporating new insights and acting independently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent (HS Diploma and 4 years of experience).
  • MBA preferred.
