About the Role

The CNN Brand Marketing Intern: ATL - Fall 2025 internship is a paid, 10-week program located in the ATL area, designed to provide students with real-world experience in marketing and promotional work for CNN's diverse portfolio of networks and digital platforms. Interns will work closely with the Brand Marketing department to produce promotional campaigns for CNN Original Series, Films, Podcasts, and other CNN brands, gaining insight into how a global news brand is marketed and promoted across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on production of promotional campaigns for upcoming CNN Original Series and Films, Podcasts, CNN Underscored, CNN Fast channels, among other aspects of the CNN brand.
  • Assist in the production of promos from concepting, scriptwriting, editing, music selection, and photo/video research.
  • Participate in ideation for the launch of a new Original Series.
  • Collaborate with various teams within the Brand Marketing department to support campaign development and execution.
  • Contribute to the creation and editing of promotional content that may appear on CNN networks and digital platforms.

Requirements

  • Willingness and eagerness to learn.
  • Confidence under pressure.
  • Awareness and interest in current events, headlines, and major news stories.
  • Understanding of CNN's talent, programming, and FAST channels.
  • Familiarity with CNN digital productions like CNN.com, podcasts, and Underscored.
  • Interest in marketing, strategy, production, and promotional work.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Active enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship.
  • Rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older).
  • Good academic standing (GPA 3.0 or above).
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Airtable.

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship.
  • Proof of enrollment required if an offer is extended.
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18+ years old).
  • Maintain good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
