About the Role

The College Work Study - TRIO Social Media Assistant is responsible for creating and managing social media content for TRIO programs at Navarro College. The role involves producing engaging posts, stories, reels, and videos to promote educational workshops and campus activities, while adhering to college social media guidelines. The student will work primarily in an office environment and occasionally document campus events.

Key Responsibilities

Create Instagram posts, stories, reels, and live posts.
Create videos of TRIO Educational Workshops to post on YouTube.
Comply with Navarro College Social Media guidelines.
Collaborate with the PT TRIO Content Creator to create a plan for TRIO Social Media postings.
Ensure security of TRIO Social Media technology/equipment.
Document campus events and activities involving TRIO students.

Requirements

Extensive understanding of Social Media platforms - especially Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Experience with Content Creation Technology - Camera, microphone, green screen, lighting.
Ability to create a Social Media plan.
Ability to read and understand established Navarro College Social Media guidelines.
