About the Role

The Concerts & Events Social Media Intern at Phoenix Suns is responsible for supporting the PHX Arena social media team by developing creative content, engaging with fans, and assisting in promoting arena events through various social media platforms. This role involves creating platform-specific content, managing community interactions, and supporting influencer programs to enhance engagement and visibility for PHX Arena events.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new content strategies for showcasing all types of events at PHX Arena, focusing on Instagram and TikTok.
Create daily social media content tailored to platform-specific best practices, ensuring optimized engagement and brand consistency.
Assist in maintaining the social media calendar.
Engage in community management and customer response across social channels with fans.
Leverage trending topics and conversations in real-time to capitalize on content opportunities and amplify the voice of PHX Arena.
Support the development of a PHX Arena influencer program.
Perform social media tasks on event days by shooting photography, filming fan TikToks, and posting across social media channels in real time.
Quickly recognize and react to trends to grow the PHX Arena TikTok account.
Collaborate with Arena Marketing team on integrated marketing plans for event promotion and fan experiences.

A passion for entertainment, music, and events.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Possesses a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive information.
Ability to be professional with high-profile talent.
A passion for social media strategy and community building online.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or GED.
Previous internship or college experience managing social pages in the entertainment space (preferred).
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, Photoshop (preferred).
Experienced content creator, shooter, and editor to execute content in real time across multiple platforms (preferred).
Experience supporting social strategies across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Threads, Snapchat, and other emerging platforms.
Subject matter expert on social media platforms.
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and create unique social content.

Nice to Have

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, Photoshop.
Experienced content creator, shooter, and editor.
Previous internship or college experience in managing social pages in entertainment space.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
