About the Role

The Manager, Consumer Insights will provide research leadership, planning & execution, high end analytics, and strategic business analysis supporting the organization and institutions. This role involves conducting research on student prospects and influencers, current students, alumni, environment, and competitive scanning to support marketing initiatives, product development, and strategic decision-making within Adtalem Global Education, a leader in post-secondary education and healthcare talent development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary Consumer Insights contact for an institution(s), coordinating efforts to execute research plans.
  • Ensure research efforts remain within approved business partner research budget and objectives.
  • Provide expert insights and counsel to internal business partners and external vendors based on research findings.
  • Lead development of multi-year strategic research plans and prioritization for institutions.
  • Independently lead method recommendation, external vendor identification, and gain alignment on study design.
  • Manage vendor relationships, analyze research findings, and present results to audiences from junior to executive level.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities independently to support internal and external clients.
  • Lead highly complex analytical studies including consumer and market segmentation, business driver analysis, marketing mix modeling, conjoint analysis, pricing studies, and forecasts.
  • Oversee predictive quantitative modeling in areas such as enrollment projection and media effectiveness.
  • Integrate segmentation into annual business and marketing planning processes.
  • Represent Consumer Insights on multifunctional task forces within and across institutions.
  • Manage freelance/contract resources and/or junior staff as assigned.
  • Synthesize primary and secondary research to develop brand positioning and business recommendations.
  • Create fact-based business case documents for internal partner recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing.
  • Eight (8) plus years in consumer marketing research or related areas.
  • Experience with design and analysis of survey research, tracking/brand equity, or advertising research.
  • Proficiency with SAS/SPSS and/or other statistical packages (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of applied statistical methods including regression models, time series analysis, segmentation, conjoint, factor analysis, and choice-based design.
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative research methods, database design, and analysis proficiency.
  • Experience with data collection and tabulation for survey research, including sampling, crosstab analysis, and multivariate weighting.
  • Adept at questionnaire development, sample design, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation experience.
  • Strong research leadership skills with the ability to communicate complex findings effectively.
  • Business acumen, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and understand tactical implications.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access (desirable).
