About the Role

The Content & Social Media Specialist will create and distribute content in various formats across multiple channels with the goal of enhancing our brands and driving digital follower expansion. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is a temporary, part-time position based in Washington, DC, with remote work options. The position involves managing social media campaigns, creating visual content, and supporting digital marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities.
Create and curate content for digital sites and social media platforms.
Design graphics and produce/edit video content as available.
Assist with proofreading or editing content before publishing.
Review live content monthly and create reports outlining success rates.
Manage social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Design branded physical memorabilia.
Perform background research as needed.

Requirements

At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience with design software or tools like Adobe, Canva, and others.
Understanding of best practices for social media networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Strong knowledge of SEO and ability to update websites as needed.
Self-aware, self-led, and able to work independently.
Creative with good communication skills and openness to guidance.
