About the Role

Our high-end retail client is looking for a Content Specialist to join their local marketing teams onsite monthly to shoot and edit content for upcoming social media posts. This role involves capturing footage of store openings, local events, in-store promotions, and other announcements to drive customer engagement through social media. The position is based at Short Pump Town in Richmond, VA, with responsibilities primarily onsite for content capture, while editing and final production can be done offsite. The role offers up to 28 hours per month from August 1, 2025, to February 1, 2026, and requires the candidate to be local as travel costs will not be covered.

Key Responsibilities

Aligning on social strategies, under the direction of Mall Marketing Manager, for goals each month and capturing content.
Traveling to the selected mall up to 2 times per month to shoot new video and photography content for social media assets.
Shooting new photography and video content using their smartphone to maximize the boots-on-the-ground perspective.
Creating social posts for Facebook and Instagram using the client's social recipe book, outlining brand guidelines and graphic requirements.

Requirements

Strong portfolio showcasing social media content creative.
Strong knowledge of social platforms Facebook & Instagram.
Phone with good video capturing software.
Reel editing ability, with final copy being post-ready.

Nice to Have

Experience with social media content creation and editing software.
Familiarity with influencer-style content production.

Qualifications

Current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Ability to work onsite in Richmond, VA.
