About the Role

The Content Marketing Specialist will be a modern content creator responsible for producing engaging visual and written materials across multiple platforms. This role requires a strong blend of graphic design, copywriting, merchandising, digital marketing, and e-commerce skills, with an eagerness to explore and leverage AI tools for content development and campaign optimization. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of hands-on marketing experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings creative ideas that help tell SCI's story while driving qualified leads and e-commerce growth through Shopify.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop visual content including graphics, presentations, digital ads, trade show displays, and branded collateral.
  • Write and edit compelling copy for social media, website, email campaigns, and client-facing materials.
  • Create content and landing pages to support digital paid advertising campaigns that drive qualified traffic to SCI's Shopify site for lead generation and e-commerce sales.
  • Support brand merchandising efforts (e.g., uniforms, giveaways, trade show materials) to maintain consistent brand identity.
  • Create and manage short-form video content for digital campaigns (social media, website, presentations).
  • Capture and edit photography (products, events, team) for use in marketing channels.
  • Manage and update SCI's website, Shopify store, and social media presence to align with branding and business goals.
  • Experiment with and adopt AI tools for content generation, marketing automation, and analytics.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Leadership to create customer-focused storytelling for campaigns, proposals, and outreach.
  • Track performance of digital campaigns, landing pages, and e-commerce sales to recommend optimizations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional marketing, communications, or design experience.
  • Strong portfolio of visual, written, and digital marketing content.
  • Proficiency with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or similar).
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills for both digital and print.
  • Experience in digital paid advertising (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or Meta Ads) including content and landing page development.
  • Familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience with video editing (Premiere Rush, CapCut, Canva Video, or similar).
  • Knowledge of or interest in AI-driven marketing tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, MidJourney, etc.).
  • Familiarity with web content management systems (WordPress, Wix, etc.).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact, etc.).
  • Photography skills (basic product or event photography).
  • Experience in B2B or government/industrial marketing preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field preferred.
