About the Role

WYMT is a local station serving Kentucky, with a focus on award-winning journalism and community content. The role involves joining WYMT's creative services department as a full-time marketing and commercial producer to create innovative content promoting news and station branding.

Key Responsibilities

Create new, unique, and innovative content promoting news content in a competitive market.
Work closely with the Marketing Director to produce commercials for clients and station promotional campaigns for all screens.
Develop proof-of-performance and image promos for the station's brand.
Shoot, edit, and design high-end content, utilizing cinematography skills.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with short deadlines.
Write, edit, and produce commercials and promotional materials.

Requirements

Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Knowledge of production lighting techniques.
Proficient with DSLR and Canon gear and demonstrate strong cinematography skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to present ideas effectively to clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working in both Mac and PC environments.
A four-year college degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

Experience creating award-winning content.
Experience working with high-end production equipment.
